Ethiopia '07 Trip Video
The next-generation congregation at Heartland, called The Gathering, sent nine short-term missionaries to Ethiopia in March of 2007. They visited and ministered to children in the city of Zeway, and spent time encouraging the Food for the Hungry staff.

The Gathering Community at Heartland has led the way in partnering with Food For the Hungry by adopting two Ethiopian communities – Zeway and Belo.
Food For the Hungry is an organization that seeks to meet physical and spiritual needs worldwide. Their emphasis is on children, providing basic health care, education, clothing, spiritual development and more.
